How to make your legs hate you

“Don’t stop now, you’re almost to the top.” The doom of many a cyclist, and certainly me today. I don’t normally blog about my specific workouts, but today I surprised myself. Sometimes, ignorance is definitely bliss, and I’m glad I didn’t see this elevation profile until I got home:

 

I didn’t intend to do a long hill workout today, but my curiosity got the better of me and I ended up riding all the way to up to Skyline Blvd (2,100′ up!) but stopped at Huddart Park for a few more hills (so I ended climbing up 3,100′) and a potty break. I wanted to do 42 miles today but the ride up to Skyline killed my legs after running 20miles yesterday. I did, however, have a blast!
